Cureapalooza 2017 was a massive hit! Considering it was the first concert we had ever put on, we orchestrated it like pros. Don't get me wrong, the entire process was a year-long from booking the bands to planning the event to selling tickets. We really didn't know how it was going to turn out. I mean this was a fundraiser, corporate event, and concert all rolled into one! And not only did we invite our clients and our subcontractors, but we opened up the event to the public as well. The only thing we could do was ensure we had a game plan. The Phoenix was more than helpful. And what a great venue to host an event like this. Well known to me in my university days as a club and concert hall, the Phoenix is now strictly an event venue. It served as the perfect tapestry to host Juno Award winning band Arkells and opening guests Birds of Bellwoods.
At the end, we raised $50,000 and donated it all towards the Canadian Cancer Society/Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
Check out the video that the Arkells posted on their Facebook page shortly after the concert.
🚪👊🏼 Gets louder every time. Thanks to everyone who sang their hearts in support of Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation & Canadian Cancer Society 💖💖💖
